LTU has amazing faculty, and we recognize outstanding teaching with two awards:

1) The Henry and Barbara Horldt Excellence in Teaching Award is presented to a faculty member who has distinguished himself or herself in the classroom as an outstanding teacher. Lawrence Technological University faculty, adjunct faculty, and instructors who have taught at the university for at least five years are eligible to receive the award. LTU faculty members and students alike are encouraged to nominate worthy candidates. Finalists for the award will be asked to submit a two page Statement of Teaching Philosophy as well as their CV and the final selection will be made by the Provost.

2) Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) Award recognizes faculty who use technology to innovate teaching strategies and student learning experiences. Technology may be related to equipment and devices or software and apps. It may be discipline-specific in nature or general use of technology tools to extend instruction and student learning. Finalists will be asked to submit a one page summary of how they use technology in their teaching and final selection is made by the Provost.
