Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering Technology

Succeed in this competitive and evolving field with a solid foundation in the fundamentals of electronics, music theory, and sound technology – past, present, and future. LTU’s Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering Technology blends the concepts of classical audio engineering with modern-day applications to give you a strong set of skills with which to enter the field.

The BS in Audio Engineering Technology encourages learning through hands-on projects in recording studios and electronics labs, using state-of-the-art equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and frequency counters to test and verify the operation of commercial audio products.

In addition to the music principles of sound, the BS in Audio Engineering Technology at LTU focuses on electronics, covering the latest in audio transmission through hardware, fiber, and wireless technologies, as well as acoustics – the physics behind sound. This 126 credit-hour program prepares you to graduate with an in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following topics: analog audio systems, digital audio systems, audio production, and audio application.
