A team of students in Lawrence Technological University’s media communication program has produced a half-hour documentary film on previously little-known contributions to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) by three women of color in the early and mid-20th Century.
More than 600 students from around the world, plus another 200 coaches and parents, will travel to Lawrence Technological University this weekend for three days of competition under the umbrella of Robofest, a youth robotics competition founded by LTU computer science professor C.J. Chung.

But giving a Commencement address at Lawrence Technological University Saturday afternoon, Stabenow expressed confidence that LTU graduates are up to the challenge.
Two Lawrence Technological University seniors will be honored as recipients of LTU’s Edward Donley Distinguished Graduate Awards as they are presented their diplomas at the University’s Commencement Saturday, May 11. inning the award for women students is Marissa Bradley of Haslett, who will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering. Winning the award for men students is Sahil Jaggi of Bingham Farms, who will receive a Bachelor of Science in computer science.
Nicole Kennedy, M.D., section chief in the Department of Vascular Surgery and medical informatics officer at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, will receive Lawrence Technological University’s Alumni Achievement Award at LTU’s Commencement Saturday, May 11.
